Following the success of the initial round of the DADHC Tender Training and Assistance (TAP) program, a second round of training will be held in May and June 2008.
TAP was developed to support non-government service providers to better participate in DADHC tendering processes. The first round of training workshops was conducted from September to November 2007 by BCA National Training Group in metropolitan and regional locations across NSW. The TAP program is one of a number of industry development initiatives being conducted by DADHC in consultation with the NGO sector.
The industry development strategy aims to enhance the sector’s capacity to respond to the needs of older people, people with a disability and their carers. It seeks to build the Sector’s capacity to respond effectively to fundingopportunities and to enhance relationships between peaks, Non-Government Organisation (NGO) service providers and DADHC. The upcoming TAP training is provided free to the sector. This training aims to develop the skills and knowledge of key individuals within organisations who are responsible for preparing tender and grant applications on behalf of the organisation.
BCA National Training Group (BCANTG) has been commissioned by the Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care (DADHC) to develop and deliver a Tender Training and Assistance Program. The program is designed for service providers funded by DADHC in NSW. BCANTG is pleased to be working with DADHC to enhance the capacity of non-government service providers within the human services sector. The ultimate goal of this training is improvement of services for people with a disability and their carers.
