Who should undertake this course?

Work with children and young people with our Certificate IV in Youth Work.

If you want to address the social, behavioural, health, welfare and protection needs of young people, this course will introduce you to key skills and knowledge.  You will be ready to undertake roles as a youth worker in a variey of community, government and welfare agencies.

Where can I use my new skills?

Career opportunities for those with a Certificate IV in Youth work include working as a Community development worker (youth), youth and family resource officer, coordinator - youth service, coordinator - youth and family service.

What are the entry requirements?

Year 12 or equivalent, or Year 10 or equivalent plus completion of a relevant TAFE/ vocational course at AQF Level 3.

What topics will the course cover?

The Certificate IV in Youth Work requires sixteen (16) modules to be completed, of which 10 modules are core six (6) are elective modules.
