Who is this course for?
Enhance your work with the elderly with our Certificate IV in Aged Care.
If you are working in aged care, this course will equip you with the skills, knowledge and ethical attributes to work at an advanced level. You will be ready to undertake direct client work, community development or community health promotion and engage in programs supporting families, individuals and social groups.
Are there prerequisites for this course?
Yes. In order to undertake this course, you must have previously completed the following modules which are covered in our Certificate III in Aged Care (CHC30208) course:
- CHCAC319A - Provide support to people living with dementia
- CHCCS411A - Work effectively in the community sector
- CHCICS303A - Support individual health and emotional well being
- CHCAC318A - Work effectively with older people
- CHCPA301B - Deliver care services using a palliative approach
- HLTAP301A - Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context
Course Structure
The elective course content for the program is agreed in cooperation with our clients to suit the requirements of the workplace (core modules remain unaltered). A sample program is outlined here.
