Who is this course for?

Progress your care career with our Certificate IV in Disability.

If you are working in disability or community services, this course will equip you with the skills, knowledge and ethical attributes to work with a great level of independence.

You will gain the skills and knowledge to provide training and support to people with disabilities to improve self-reliance and community participation.  You will be ready to work as a behavioural support officer, day support disability officer, lifestyle support officer or residential care officer.

Course Structure

There are 10 core units and five (5) elective units to be completed in this disability qualification.

• CHCDIS411A - Communicate using argumentative and alternative communication strategies
• CHCICS402A - Facilitate individual plans
• CHCICS305A - Provide behaviour support in the context of individualised plans
• CHCOHS312A - Follow safety procedures for direct care work
