You will be able to carry out activities related to the interests of children or young people at risk including exercising legal authority. You will gain the knowledge and skills required to work in child and family services, in residential facilities and family support networks.

There are 14 modules to be completed in this community services qualification - five (5) core modules and nine (9) elective modules:
Core Modules
- CHCCS422A - Respond holistically to client issues and refer appropriately
- CHCCS502A - Maintain legal and ethical work practices
- CHCPROT526A - Work in a child protection environment
- HLTHIR403B - Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers
- HLTHIR404B - Work effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people

- CHCCHILD404A - Support the rights and safety of children and young people
